We might have already gone over why we love Fall so much, but if you need a refresher, all you need to do is take a look at these awesome fall desserts.
Fall is certainly sweater weather, which means we have one more reason to indulge in more slices of pie than any other time of the year (besides Winter, of course).
But, it’s not just about pie. There are cakes and cookies, too. Take a look at the desserts we’re most excited about.
1. Pecan Pie

It’s really a shame that pecan pie can’t be prettier and look a little less like crushed up bugs, because it is seriously delicious. If you know anything about nuts, you probably know that pecans are essentially the candy of the nut world, and this pie is just crushed up pecans and sugar. You can’t go wrong.
2. Pumpkin Pie

Perhaps it’s because pumpkin pie is so difficult to find.get any other time of the year that adds to its wonder, but I am obsessed. Before you ask, yes I do top it with ice cream and whipped cream and no, I don’t regret anything.
3. Fig Tart

This may be underrated, but one bite and you will be converted. Figs are sweet and sugar-y and make for a very tasty topping to any pie. They’re nothing like those dry Fig Newtons of yesteryear.
4. Banana Walnut Bread
You may say that banana walnut bread is great any time of the year, but it feels especially comforting in the Fall. Perfectly bake with an equal moist-to-crunchy ratio, it makes for a fitting breakfast or dessert.
5. Ginger Snap Cookies

Ginger snap cookies are best when they’re both chewy and crunchy and generously dusted with confectioner’s sugar, of course. They’re almost like the prequel to the impending Gingerbread cookies of the winter holidays.
6. Blueberry Pie

Fresh berries are fun to pick in the Autumn and even more delicious to eat in a pie. They become perfectly tangy and sweet when baked and it’s something we can never resist.
7. Hummingbird Cake

You may not have heard of Hummingbird Cake before, but we promise it’s absolutely delicious and decadent. It’s essentially a pineapple and banana cake (don’t worry, it’s delicious!) with walnuts and cream cheese frosting. It’s another tasty alternative to the carrot cake everyone should try at least once.
8. Torta De Tres Leches

Tres leches is not as appreciated as it should be on this side of the equator, but it’s incredibly moist and rich and sweet… and everything you’ve ever wanted out of dessert. It’s a great treat to bring to dinner parties, really.
9. Baked Apples

I could have featured apple pie, but instead why not try the baked apple? Fill it up with a streusel center, candied walnuts or pecans and top with cinnamon, caramel or even a scoop of ice cream. It’s much less mess than pie and it’s great for portion sizes.
10. Simple Salted Caramels

Salted caramels may be simple, but something about them seems more Autumn-centric than not. In addition, now that dinner party season is officially beginning, making these and setting them out is a great idea (and will make you the perfect host).
