We all have a guilty pleasure. Whether it’s trash TV or fast food, that’s up to your discretion.
However, if there was ever a time to share what your favorite fast food guilty pleasure is, today would be the day. Why? Naturally because it’s National Fast Food Day! While I don’t think that Americans in particular need any more excuses to eat the greasy stuff, it’s nice to share what specific item (unfortunately) get you salivating.
Below are some of our favorites, but promise not to tell a soul!
Chicken Nuggets From McDonald’s

Whether or not we love them because they bring us happy , nostalgic memories from our childhood is yet to be seen, but something about these always hit the spot – especially when dipped in BBQ sauce.
Bucket Of Chicken From KFC

There’s no shame in this game, especially when Anthony Bourdain himself has admitted to being a KFC addict. A bucket of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and wedges is enough to make anyone feel satisfied… in a gross way.
Cheesy Fries From Nathan’s (In An Airport)

My personal favorite? Cheesy bacon fries and a hot dog from Nathan’s. HOWEVER, this is only acceptable when I’m in an airport. Fun fact: I’ve never been to a real Nathan’s before. Just airport Nathan’s.
Tacos With Extra, Extra Hot Sauce From Taco Bell

When I was younger and more naive I had a thing for ordering like 6 tacos from Taco Bell and eating them all in one sitting with extra amount of hot sauce. Was it the healthiest ritual? Probably not, do I sometimes miss being able to do that? Yes.
Popcorn Chicken From Popeye’s
I’ve never actually had this particular “dish” but I hear it’s literally the most satisfying meal ever. If the popcorn chicken comes with a biscuit then I believe it.
Mini Hash Browns From Dunkin’ Donuts

Hash browns in general are amazing and honestly, some of the best ones I’ve had in my life were from fast food joints. McDonald’s has some pretty great ones that you can now get all day long – because All-Day Breakfast, of course. But Dunkin Donuts has some pretty bangin’ mini ones, too. Hangover food, anyone?
French Toast Sticks From Burger King

All you need to know is that these little pieces of fried heaven come with super sugar-y syrup and while it’s not Vermont Grade A Maple – which happens to be a religion in and of itself – it will do the trick in an especially desperate situation.
Hot Turkey Gobbler From WAWA
I can’t attest to the magical wonders of WAWA, but everyone who talks about this NJ/Philly/??? gas station only has high praises for the establishment – and this Thanksgiving-themed hoagie.
Frosty From Wendy’s (w/ dipping fries, of course)
When I was in high school, the food was so bad that I would drive all my friends and myself to Wendy’s on Wednesday – a tradition we then dubbed “Wendy Wednesdays” of course.
Sourdough Jack From Jack In The Box

Is Jack In The Box a west coast thing? I can’t figure it out, but my Los Angeles friends say this is their drunken order and if they’re feeling extra wild they’ll order tacos, too…
