Break out the bubbly this holiday season with three delicious drinks that all have a champagne base. Marianne Canada and HGTV are back with three champagne drink recipes that will put you in the holiday spirit.
Marianne first shows how to make a sparkling apple cocktail. For one serving combine one ounce apple juice, a ½ ounce cognac and a ½ ounce of simple syrup. She then pours this into a shaker with ice, shakes and strains into a Collins glass – also containing ice. Marianne then tops off the glass with champagne and garnishes with both red and green apples.
Marianne next shows a drink with a little more bite. She makes a Limoncello champagne cooler with limoncello, cranberries, mint leaves and champagne. Muddling a few cranberries and mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail glass gives this drink a festive look. Marianne then adds ice and one ounce of limoncello, and tops it all off with champagne and a few frozen cranberries.
Lastly, Marianne makes a Kir Royale that is very simple and elegant. With one part crème de cassi and two parts champagne poured into a champagne flute, she creates a classic pre-dinner drink and garnishes it with a few blackberries.
