Chocolate lovers, this one is for you… especially if you’re in the mood for a chocolate brownie recipe that’s a bit on the healthier side.
In the video above, you will see how to make Tia Mowry‘s gluten-free, almond butter brownies. To create, all you need is: chocolate chips, walnuts, unsalted butter, sugar, almond butter, two eggs, vanilla extra, whole wheat flower, coco powder… and ready for this? Prune baby food!

So there are a couple of ingredients here that should stick out. The baby food is probably the first one. But before you get grossed out by it, Mowry said it adds a richness and creaminess to the brownies, that we’re sure you’re going to want.

Also, the whole wheat flour is an interesting choice. Not only is there no major taste difference, but using whole wheat flour will add more fiber and vitamins to your dish as oppose to using white flour.

Once you mix all the ingredients together, you’ll simple bake and that’s all. Mowry says these are by far one of her favorite dessert treats ever, and with the spine of health, they can be yours as well!

Watch the video above and get to baking!
