Well, before you get too excited, you can only get one if you happen to be in New England.

And by New England, I mean Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. No Vermont, which actually happens to be a part of New England as well. I mean, I went to high school there. I would know and I think my past connection to it has made this exclusion particularly offensive, but I will let it go for now in hopes of moving on with this article. I guess the reasoning for this would be that because it’s a land-locked state, lobster isn’t too easy to come by, but I also don’t want to pretend that McDonald’s is keeping it “fresh” if you know what I mean…

ANYWAYS. It’s true. Lobster Rolls are coming to a New England (sans Vermont) McDonald’s near you this summer. For a cool $7.99 you can get this McLobster concoction from now through mid-August.

I will also have you know that even if it tastes vile, it will only set you back 290 calories which is reasonably diet friendly. I did hear someone say that “pain was beauty”after all…

Mainers especially must be shaking their heads in disappointment, but we are sure some confused souls will surely try it out for themselves to see what all the fuss is about.

In the meantime I will make sure to recommend this to someone I hate.
