It’s National Junk Food Day! So, if you ever need an excuse to gorge on potato chips and Twinkies, today would be the day.

While I would refrain from doing that in the middle of the work day – seeing as how eating a lot of unhealthy options in one sitting often leads to sleepiness and grogginess – you can  certainly enjoy one of these American favorites without having to step outside at all!

You may be wondering if these taste anything like the “real deal” (AKA the store-bought variety), but we promise that these junk food faves may even taste better. Less filler and more whole ingredients typically equal something a lot more flavorful. However, it should be noted that this is not to say that any of these are particularly “healthy”… It’s just a little more comforting knowing exactly what’s in them without those fancy nutrition labels with the big, long words…

Enjoy these junk food recipes for National Junk Food Day and you might never go back to buying those snacks you pick while waiting at your grocery store check out line…
