For those of you who don’t know, a quesadilla is a flour or corn tortilla filled with a savory (or sweet) mixture that is folded in half or cut into triangular pieces. The traditional quesadilla originates from Mexico, and is filled with cheese and then cooked until the cheese is completely melted. Although that sounds delicious as it is–I mean lets be real, anything with melted cheese is obviously worth having–the quesadilla has come a long way since its original and simple form. Today the quesadilla dominates in the plethora of food categories, rightfully so. You can literally stuff anything you want into a quesadilla, and it will taste like the greatest thing you’ve ever eaten. Seriously.
