In case you hadn’t noticed by now, I am a huge fan of peanut butter. And if there is one thing that I love more than peanut butter, it’s the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. To be quite honest, it’s the only marriage/relationship that I believe in and gives me hope. If I could one day find a partner that completes me as much as I believe chocolate really completes peanut butter (or vice versa), it will be a true turning point for me.
Anyways, it seems like I am not the only one who is as obsessed with chocolate and peanut butter. It looks like Imgur user rust3d made it his mission to find out which Reese’s (arguably the best candy brand on the market today) has the most peanut butter.
Of course, you might think that whichever Reese’s is biggest in size would be the obvious winner, but oh no, no, no, no, no it is not that simple.
According to very detailed research – that has been documented and can be seen below (this clearly was the most important, scientific experiment of the decade) – the seasonal Reese’s treats give you the most bang for your buck. The seasonal items included an egg shaped cup for Easter, heart for Valentine’s, pumpkin for Halloween, and regular cups in various sizes including large, snack, miniature and mini.
Once all of these were compiled, they were cut in half, measure, and had their peanut butter scooped out (blasphemous, I know). The peanut butter was weighed separately and the results compared.
In second place came the Easter egg with a 59.40 % peanut butter to chocolate ratio, but in top spot was the Valentine’s Day heart with 60.34% peanut butter. The value of this lesson is questionable but at least it gives me a reason to look forward to Valentine’s Day now!
