It seems like today has just been filled with wonder. First, we found out that 7-Eleven is basically handing out Slurpees this Saturday, and now we have found out that Taco Bell is thinking about making deliveries!
YES!
Because if there is anything that people have wanted more in their lives when they were drunk or high is a Taco Bell delivery man showing up on their door step with 5 tacos, a quesadilla, and burrito bowl. Be honest. If this were delivered to you when you were virtually passed out in whatever state of inebriation you had put yourself in on a Saturday night, there is no doubt in my mind that you would devour this and then wonder what’s for dessert. But, really. Does Taco Bell have dessert? I’m asking for myself and not a friend.
Anyways. Taco Bell has been looking to cater to your needs (quite literally) more and more through its offerings and now it’s could-be delivery service.
“We are positioning ourselves for clock-less eating. Technology is changing the way people interact with restaurants and retail. We have to appeal to the taste and spirit of Millennials – who want access to anything they want.”
Translation: People my age are spoiled brats and we want what we want when we want it and are willing to spend what it takes as long as it requires minimal effort.
Luckily, we think they really hit the nail on the head with this move.
However, don’t think you can swipe your way through their app and have some faux-Mexican food ring your doorbell just yet. The only thing Taco Bell is saying is that it hopes to test out its home delivery sometime this year and apparently we can thank all the Twitter/your high 13-year-old cousin’s demands for that. Oh, social media, isn’t it wonderful?
